of the 32nd Judicial Circuit, State of Alabama
(Encompassing all of Cullman County)

About the Circuit Court

What special procedures are being implemented to keep me safe from COVID-19 during my jury service?

Circuit Judges in the 32nd Judicial Circuit, which comprises all of Cullman County, hear divorce cases, protection from abuse petitions, boundary line disputes, civil lawsuits in which the amount being sued for exceeds the sum of ten thousand dollars, civil lawsuits involving injunctive or other equitable relief, workman’s compensation cases, more serious criminal cases called felonies and some misdemeanor cases.

All jury trials, whether civil or criminal, take place in the Circuit Court. The Circuit Court also hears some appeals from the decisions rendered by the Cullman District Courts and the Municipal Courts situated in Cullman County, as well as some appeals from administrative boards. In addition, estate, conservatorship and guardianship cases are sometimes removed from the Cullman Probate Court to the Circuit Court and occasionally, the Circuit Judges may also hear juvenile dependency and delinquency cases.
